Why the Assessment exists
Your continuity risk is not theoretical. These are the recent operating conditions.
- Summer all time peak demand: 85,508 MW on 08/10/2023
- Summer peak demand: 85,425 MW on 08/20/2024
- Winter all time peak demand: 80,560 MW on 02/20/2025
- ERCOT minimum target reserve margin: 13.75%
- ERCOT CDR warns planning reserve margins can fall sharply and may cross into negative values in 2026 or 2027 depending on season

Who this is for
This assessment is designed for municipal leaders, utility operators, plant managers, and infrastructure owners who are accountable for uptime during grid failures.
If you are looking for a free audit, equipment pricing, or a sales proposal, this is not a fit.

How to start
2 ways to engage. Both are intentional.
Option 1: Operator Call
A short, no cost call to confirm fit, urgency, and facility type. No audit. No analysis. Fit and next step only.
Option 2: Readiness Assessment
A paid, fixed scope diagnostic delivered in 7 to 10 business days after kickoff. Built to produce a verdict and a decision path.
What the Assessment delivers
A pass or fail readiness verdict tied to real outage scenarios. Built for internal decision making, council briefings, grant planning, and procurement.
- Clear pass or fail readiness verdict
- Failure points tied to real ERCOT outage scenarios
- Estimated downtime exposure and operational consequences
- Minimum required capability to remove risk
- Decision options, accept the risk or remove it
Pricing and procurement
The ERCOT Failure Readiness Assessment is a paid, fixed scope service. For public entities and operators that move forward into a pilot or Resilience as a Service contract within 60 days, the assessment fee is credited toward the next phase. This allows planning to be funded without committing to construction.
Timeline
- Day 0 contract and kickoff
- Day 1 to 5 data review and interviews
- Day 6 to 10 analysis and verdict delivery
- Final deliverable briefing call included
For rural and small communities
Many clients use the assessment as a planning document to support grant applications and funding requests. In some cases, assessment costs are eligible planning expenses. If budget timing is a concern, raise it during the operator call.
